And Rubi Makes 3

Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength.

Oscar Loves The Baby

For those of you who know my cat Oscar you know that he's not a lover. He'd rather bite you than let you pet him. That's why when I was pregnant it came as a big shock when Oscar one day "hugged" my belly. He stayed like this for a long time.

Now that Rubi is here he seems to have taken a serious liking to her. He watches her and listens to her when she "talks". Just the other night he cuddled up to her pillow on the couch. He'd never admit it, and he'd probably bite me if he knew I was telling the world he's a softie, but he loves Rubi.

Tired Baby

Rubi fell asleep with daddy on the bed and I quietly moved her to her own bed. She never even stirred.

She really is a good sleeper. After her meal at about 10 P.M. she will usually sleeps until 4 or 5 A.M. That may sound way too early to some but to a brand new mom it's a total blessing!

Look at the little wisps of hair on the back of her head. I'm crossing my fingers that it will keep doing that as she gets older. Won't that just be toooooo cute?!

Splish Splash

Clean, happy baby!

It was so cute! She was just grinning and "talking" after her bath. She just amazes me everyday.

The Many Faces of Rubi

Rubi's Fly

Daddy's Little Jayhawk

You don't even have to take a guess about who picked out this outfit! Rubi never even had a chance to be able to be a Wildcat fan! Ha ha. Daddy is hoping that her first word will either be da da, jayhawk, or basketball. Hmmm... we'll have to wait and see. Personally, I'm hoping it will be ma ma!

Life As We Knew It

Life as we knew it changed forever (and for better) on June 11, 2006 at 5:45 am when Rubi Gwendolyn entered this world. She is the most perfect baby either of us has ever seen and we want to continue sharing her life with all of you. We'll post pictures of her as she continues to grow - which is too quickly in our opinion! We'll also share stories about cute little things she does that warm our hearts, and hopefully yours. Much love - John and Sariah
