You Look Like A Monkey And You Smell Like One Too

Sunday was such a beautiful day that we just had to go to the zoo. Rubi had never been, but we will definitely have to take her back. She was so excited! Just walking up to the entrance was a treat for her. She squealed and pointed at the fishpond with the waterfall, and if she hadn't been in a stroller I'm sure she would have jumped right in!

Once we got inside she would have gladly stayed and looked at the flamingos the whole day if her squeals were any indication.

When we got to "Africa" they had just finished feeding the giraffes, elephants, rhinos, & hippos. The smell was horrid but the animals were in rare form and were really putting on a show - I think the cool weather had them in good moods as well. The elephants were getting as close to the edge as possible and reaching their trunks over at leaves, grass and cameras! By the look of this picture you would think that Rubi was scared. Not our girl! She was mad because we wouldn't let her get in the fence with the elephants! :)

Our favorite part of the day was the gorillas. Only 2 were in the outside display area but they were really fun to watch. They would come right up to the glass and just look at you. It was so neat.

Rubi was wore out by the time we left and I think she was asleep before we got out of the parking lot!
